Friends of Poetry-next-the-Sea

In six years, twenty-eight nationally known poets have read in Wells and each year many younger poets, at the beginning of their careers, have also appeared. We must ensure that it continues to flourish.

In 2000 we founded the Friends of Poetry-next-the-Sea. This growing group of well-wishers gives essential support to our events and to Poetry-next-the-Sea funds. Friends qualify for early bookings and price concessions. There is a Friends' event each spring and autumn and its speakers have included: Roger Deakin, Richard Holmes, Lotte Kramer, Adam Nicolson and Jean Moorcroft Wilson.

The Friends' journal, Tideline, is published twice a year.

Memberships costs just £10 for an annual single membership, £15 for a annual joint membership and £25 for a life membership. Send a cheque (made payable to Poetry-next-the-Sea) to Alan Byford, 11/12 Webster's Yard, Syderstone, Norfolk, PE31 8SJ.
